Clean Break is the UK's only women's theatre education and new writing company for ex-offenders, prisoners, ex-prisoners and women at risk of offending due to drug or alcohol use or mental health issues. Clean Break delivers an innovative programme of theatre performances & new writing projects, drama-based education and specialist support, professional development and training, and advocacy.
Clean Break works with female ex-offenders on a regular basis and is a good organisation to contact for advice.

WRITERS IN PRISONS NETWORK
The Writers in Prison Network is a national organisation created in 1992 and co-ordinating long-term projects within prisons that explore and develop language, communication and working with others. It also runs smaller projects with ex-offenders and offers a postal writing mentoring service.
